God's Precious Gift Of Salvation
Why am I here? Who am I? What will happen when I die? These questions have intrigued people throughout the ages. And the answers can be discovered by understanding God’s plan of salvation.
You have probably heard the story of God's love referred to as the "Gospel" or "Good News." What is the Good News? Simply this: Because of what Jesus has done, your sins will be forgiven and you will live forever.
What did Jesus do? Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world as a human being, lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose from the dead.
Because Christ died to pay for our sins, your sins will be forgiven. And because He conquered death, you will have eternal life—you will know for sure what will happen to you after you die.
God has already done His part to restore our relationship to Him.
He took the initiative. Now He waits for each of us to individually accept what He has done for us.
What Does God Want Me To DO?
1. ADMIT That You Are A Sinner Who HAs Not Obeyed The Will Of God. Repent From Your Sinful And SelfCentered Life. And Ask HIM To Forgive Your Sins.
"But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." 1 John 1:9
Repent...that your sins may be wiped out and times of refreshing may come from the Lord. —Acts 3:19
2. BELIEVE That Lord Jesus Died To Pay Your Sins And Saved You From Eternal Punishment In Hell, And That He Rose Again To Give You New Life ( Eternal Life) In Christ.
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
3. ACCEPT God’s Free Gift Of Salvation. Don’t try to Earn It.
"God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it." Ephesians 2:8-9
The word grace means "undeserved favor." It means God is offering you something you could never provide for yourself. You don’t have to work for this gift. All you have to do is believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ died for you. Do you believe?
4. INVITE Jesus Christ To Come Into Your Life And Be The Director (“Lord”) Of Your Life, Turning From Self Centered Life To Christ Centered Life.
"But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” John 1:12-13
"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, …." Rev.3:20
5. You Can Take These Steps By Praying A Simple Prayer Of Commitment To God.
"Father, I know that I have sinned against You. I repent from my sinful life. Please forgive me. I put my trust in Jesus, Your Son. I believe that He died for me—He took my sin upon Himself when He died on the cross. I believe that He was raised from the dead, And gave me eternal life. I surrender my life to You Lord Jesus today.
"Thank You, Father, for Your gift of forgiveness and eternal life. I will live for you and for your Glory. In Jesus' name, Amen."
When you receive Christ into your heart, you become a child of God. You have the privilege of talking to Him in prayer. At any time. About anything.
The Christian life is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. And best of all, it is a relationship that will last for all eternity. Joyfully receive it!
